Hi all on the Isle - I am spending a wonderful evening in my home in Cornwall, supping my way through a few measures of your finest Laphroaig thinking what could be better - and then I realised that the experience could be improved if I were to be supping on the Isle!!
Welcome to the Islay Forum. You will find many likeminded people here and certainly a lot of friends of Laphroaig. I happen to be one of them and Bruce is too although he is an even bigger fan of Jura and Jura whisky
Hi Bruce and Ron
Thanks for the replies - strangely enough I also have a rather fine bottle of Jura - it's really true! - but I don't know about
Superstition Jura - I think that perhaps I will have to take up the suggestion and sample the local whisky on the islands - Mmmmmm - lovely thought!
The Maggie is one of Ealing studios lesser known comedies. A wily old skipper of a Western Isles 'Puffer' and his motley crew lead all who come into contact with them a fine old time! Many scenes on Islay!
