Hi, thanks for the news. Do you know if there is more info available somewhere? The page at Amazon isn't very informative to say the least. Eek!

Hi Ron,

No info whatsoever. I have been to Robin's own website. No info there, either.
I have pre-ordered the book and will publish info here, when I get it.

That's great, thanks very much. And here I was thinking Robin Laing was a singer and songwriter, didn't know he actually was into book writing. I am curious about his book and will wait with ordering for your opinion Wink

Ron, you should check out his website or check Amazon.
I have bought this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Whisky-River-Distilleries-Speyside/dp/1905222971/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1238278133&sr=8-2
and it's a very nice book.
Another one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Whisky-Muse-Scotch-Poem-Song/dp/190630744X/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1238278447&sr=8-11
So it's not that he is a stranger to book writing.
He is of course best known for his whisky songs, but his books are worth checking out as well.

And this is my 50th post. Big Grin

I've got his Whisky River book and its worth the money... if the Islay book is half as good then it will be worth buying too!

Just got an email from Amazon. Expected dispatch is around the 15th of May.
That coincides very nicely with Feis Ile.
I saw on his website, that he performs at the Bruichladdich day.
Expect a table at the Bruichladdich open day with signed copies for sale.
