Friday 23rd December will see the South end of Islay host a festive gathering on the Port Ellen Green for the community. South Islay Development are inviting everyone on this date at 7pm for an evening of carols, music/song, mulled wine, hot toddies, mince pies, surprise hampers and all things Christmassy!

Fingers are crossed for some snowfall and wintery calm conditions to add to the ambience as we are all gathered round the village tree. In the unlikely event of disgruntled weather, the Columba Hall is booked as plan B and will be transformed into a winter wonderland. It promises to be a cosy, warming evening with local performers, local donations to celebrate the festive season and the community spirit of the people in South Islay.
