When we decided to make the move to Islay we had the idea that our first winter would be very quiet with plenty of time for us all to enjoy. The truth however has been somewhat different as we have found ourselves being very busy land as a result, time flies. I hear you thinking, whatever happened to Islay Time? It's March already and while we had some hail showers these last days and perhaps snow tomorrow, spring is really here, the meteorological start that is, I hope the matching weather will follow shortly.
I also realised that it's already ten days ago that I've last posted an article on this blog, my apologies for that. Like I said, I have been extremely busy with a lot of things including the changeover of my Scotland Info Guide, and that also explains the picture of St Kilda, it is part of some of the new content on the redesigned website. Have a look if you like at www.scotlandinfo.eu
Now I don't want to leave you empty handed, Islay wise, so below is a very nice video of an Otter having its lunch at the beach at Bunnahabhain Distillery, it's filmed by the Oriole Birding folk who visited the island a couple of weeks ago. They also wrote a great report of their trip which includes even more videos and pictures, including the rare Iceland Gull and a great shot of a Golden Eagle. Visit this link for the report, you'll have to scroll down a bit to find it. Enjoy!
