When I had posted a picture of a view from Lower Killeyan over the hills on the Oa on Facebook last night I realised, again, that this particular area of the Oa Peninsula might be less known to many visitors of Islay, so below are a few more impressions. Perhaps next time when you're on Islay you can make a detour and visit this beautiful area yourself. Please note that the people who live there have kindly asked me to mention not to park your car there but on the car park at the RSPB reserve. From there it's a short walk to Lower Killeyan where you have access to the beach, the waterfall, cave, beautiful rock formations, wildlife and stunning views!
