Islay Seasonwatch

Another great (photo) Seasonwatch blog from Islay. Teresa Morris from Islay Wildscapes was kind enough to send me a report of the last week, the first week of January, and include some great images. Hopefully Jeremy Hastings will pick up the Sunday nature reports soon as well when he returns from France next week. Thanks Teresa for your reports so far and excellent pictures. Here is her latest entry from Islay:

Sunset Killinallan Point

"This weeks weather has continued to be influenced by the continental high pressure giving dull grey and cold days. However there have been some short spells of sunshine giving beautiful lighting effects and sunsets. Amidst the cold snap there are signs of spring already with primroses near Port Askaig, bramble flowers at Ardtalla and daisies in flower at Ardnave Point. This weekend severe gales are expected which marks the end of an exceptional 2-3 weeks of relatively calm dry days."
