Saligo Bay Islay during the Storm
Mark Unsworth of Islay Studios was brave enough to face the storm and head to Saligo Bay on Islay's west coast. Mark wrote: "Just about managed to get to Saligo, it meant walking into a 60mph head wind so took longer than the usual 5 minute walk, mind you coming back to the car was quicker than normal. Here is what the scene looked like. The foreground is just millions of litres of spume which was blowing right to the edge of the dunes, the edge of the waves were over 50 metres away at this point. It looks like a heavy snowfall on the beach." A stunning picture of a view we seldom see. Thanks a lot Mark!
