A small number of crew from the MV Isle of Arran became unwell over the last 24hrs experiencing similar symptoms of a sickness and diarrhoea. As a precautionary measure to ensure customer and staff welfare and in line with Company best practice the ferry has been withdrawn from service to enable her to undergo a deep clean.

Calmac will provide an update on when she will be expected back on service as soon as possible.

A single vessel service will be maintained by MV Finlaggan, and it is anticipated that MV Isle Arran will not return to service until Saturday morning at the earliest.
