Mist at Finlaggan Islay

Today two pictures of Finlaggan taken in May this year. The first picture gives an overview of Loch Finlaggan with hidden behind the mist, on the islands, the ancient seat of the Lord of the Isles. The second picture shows the now ruined buildings on Eilean Mor and Eilean na Comhairle (left). Finlaggan is, besides the eight whisky distilleries, perhaps the most important visitor attraction of Islay. On the Islay Info website are two pages dedicated to Finlaggan. The first page titled Finlaggan - Centre of The Lordship of the Isles gives information on the buildings and the islands while another page titled Finlaggan and the Lordship explains what life was like in those days.
