Another activity on the reserve, and on other RSPB reserves in Scotland, is the "Date with nature". One of the activities on Islay is to try and locate Islay's secretive concrakes, this event takes place in the period from 15 April to 25 August 2010. Another activity is Let's Go Batty, as the title says, it's all about bats, and this event will take place on the 25th of August! Another activity is a Tuesday morning walk titled Golden eagle spectacular on Islay. These walks take place from 10am - 1pm and start at Lower Killeyan on the Oa. The "Date with Nature" activities are £1 for RSPB members, £3 for non members. Guided walks around the reserve are every Thursday between 10 am and 1 pm. Booking is necessary from November to March.
