Lady of the Isles

Christine Logan has long been known as the welcoming face of Isle of Islay, Scotland’s famous whisky island. Islay boasts 8 single malt distilleries and Christine has just launched a customised travel service, the ‘Lady of the Isles’, to offer a carefree experience when exploring all the treasures this scenic island holds. Christine, recently awarded the ‘Ambassador of Whisky 2006’ by Whisky Magazine, feels uniquely qualified to tailor visitors’ time on the island to guarantee a memorable experience.

After 10 years at Caol Ila, Christine spent 25 years at Bowmore Distillery, where she was not only appreciated by thousands of visitors but was also awarded ‘Visitor Centre Manager Of The Year’ in 2003. As well as taking in tours of the distilleries, Christine can show Islay’s hidden nooks and crannies while relieving visitors of the burden of driving. She would be delighted for you to savour all of Islay’s attractions and is pleased to arrange for visitors to take part in more active pursuits like golfing, fishing, pony trekking, clay pigeon shooting etc. Accommodation for your stay on the island can be arranged and recommendations from the special selection of eating places provided. The ‘Queen of the Hebrides’, as Islay is affectionately known, offers many other charms which Christine will freely discuss on request. She can be contacted at christine@ladyoftheisles.co.uk
