The Jolly Walker Islay and Jura Weekend Video
A weekend's perambulation around the islands of Islay and Jura in the company of the Jolly Walkers
Already the third video this week, I hope you don't mind! This time another new and beautiful video by Carl Reavey about a bunch of jolly walkers who set off on a trip over the isles of Islay and Jura from 8 to 12 May. You can see the group on their first leg from Saligo to Sanaigmore where they meet and film an adder, a very nice shot! Their second leg starts at Portnahaven and later on you can see them on Jura. Their third stage is on the south east of Islay where they visit Dunyvaig Castle, Kildalton Cross and Chapel and climb Beinn Bheigier, with 491 metres the tallest mountain on Islay. From the top you can see the breathtaking views over the Sound of Jura towards Kintyre. And what is better after such a trip then to get a tour at Bruichladdich by Mary McGregor and sample a couple of drams. No wonder they started singing "One Step Beyond" at Machir Bay! It's Madness and well worth watching :-)
