Islay Welly Walks Update
Becky Williamson started Islay Welly Walks this year and quite a few folk have enjoyed the walks and other activities she has organised so far this season. Becky writes: "Islay Welly Walks has enjoyed a variety of walks over the summer so far. It was great fun at Lily’s Sandcastle competition birthday party with lots of families competing for titles such as best moat, best name, biggest castle, best castle garden . . . and the sun was shining which always helps!"
"Other walks included Solam plague village with a couple from America/India, Killinallan to look at the flora, Soldier’s Rock and the ruined villages of The Oa and a long walk to Bolsa. Our latest walk was a beachcombing session at Sanaigmore where lots of families had fun learning what should and shouldn’t be on the beach (before descending en masse to Outback Art for a well-earned hot chocolate!)."
"Whilst the set weekly walks have now finished, the season is far from over and we are looking forward to more walks as autumn approaches - look out for adverts in future issues of the Ileach or check our website and get in touch to arrange your own personal welly adventure!
