A little over a week ago I had a wonderful treat for you, three Youtube videos uploaded by Tim Puett with video fragments from The Malt Project. Tim contacted me a couple of days back and told me that a new Youtube account had been created by Jack Oswald from the Malt Project. Jack had uploaded one video at the time which contains fragments from volume VI, the Coastal and Island distilleries. Again Islay is well represented in this video; you get to see Jim McEwan, master distiller of Bruichladdich distillery, he talks about doubling the peat level next to a cask of Octomore which he refers to as "this is rock and roll". Also on the video is Anthony Wills, managing director of Kilchoman, who talks about his dream he realised on Islay and Martine Nouet, editor of the whisky magazine's french edition, who now lives on Islay. When I checked back today I found even more videos being uploaded and one is particularly interesting, it contains a preview from disc 1 of The Malt Project Volume VII titled "Islay Revisited." In this video you get to see most Islay distillery managers talking about their famous malts. So here is yet another treat for you, I hope you like the videos.
