Islay Natural History Trust Open for the Season

The Islay Natural History Trust Centre in Port Charlotte has opened for the season on Monday 2nd of May. They will remain open until 30th of September. Opening hours are 10.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. There is a display on habitats, plants, animals and geology as well as hands on activities and exploration, also great for kids! Another important feature is the natural history library and the sealife aquaria. Admission fees are £3.50 for Adults, children £1.50 and concession £2.50. Family tickets are £8. Tickets are valid for a week. Even better is to become a member for only £12 (per household) and visit as often as you like for free.

The Islay Natural History Trust organizes interesting talks as well, mostly about Islay. This week there is an great talk about Islay's Chough by Dr. Jane Reid. It will be held on Thursday 12th of May at 7.30pm in Port Charlotte. Admission is £3, members £1.
