Islay did very well during the last Royal National Mod in Falkirk and many successes were celebrated by Còisir Ghàidhlig Ìle, the Islay Gaelic Choir, the Port Ellen Primary School Gaelic Choir and some individual artists. To give the people on Islay the opportunity to see the winners in action, and to try and recruit new members, a celebration night was held last Friday at Ionad Chaluim Chille Ìle in Bowmore. This was also a good opportunity for Mark Unsworth from Islay Studios to make some beautiful pictures of both choirs who proudly showed their "silverware". Congratulations and well done!!
