Islay & Jura Summer 2013 Activities Programme
If you happen to live or holiday on Islay or Jura you might want to read on because there are a million things to do during the summer holidays, well almost that is! Earlier I had posted the programme from the Islay and Jura Youth Action Group and in the last weeks the people at the Islay & Jura Toy Library have been working hard to collect information from all the different local groups and compiled a huge programme of all the activities on Islay and Jura for the summer holidays of 2013. From snorkelling to Cantilena Art Festival, from Pond Dipping to Film Making.
Becky Williamson from the Islay Natural History Trust wrote: "The Trust's weekly Family Activity Sessions begin next week and run every Tuesday afternoon throughout July and August. Why not bring your children to join us for approximately an hour and a half exploring our island's wildlife-filled natural habitats? There's fun for all ages as we explore woodlands, rocky and sandy shores, find out about the importance of flower power, learn about butterflies and help with the nationwide Big Butterfly Count or go pond dipping and bug hunting. A wide range of activities are included in our educational and fun-filled programme. We kick off with Woodland Wonders, meeting at Bridgend Hotel Car Park at 2pm."
From the information above I've created a PDF, available in the download section, with the entire programme for this summer and included the detailed information from the Islay Natural History Trust. As you can see in the PDF there is something for everyone so time to get involved!
