In less than a month it's time again for the 10th Black Bottle Islay Jazz Festival. A mailing was sent out today with the following information:

We plan to announce the full Islay programme early next week, but I wanted to give you some advance notice of our programme for 2008. The 10th Black Bottle Islay Jazz Festival will run from 12-14th September 2008 and will feature the following artists: Colin Steele and Dave Milligan, Jimmy Greene Quintet, Jacob Karlzon and Tommy Smith, Melting Pot featuring Subie Coleman, Colin Steele Quintet, 10th Anniversary concert featuring Black Bottle Islay Pipe band and hosted by Islay veteran Mario Caribe, Sheena Swanson, Phil Bancroft Quartet, Tam White with the Sermon Organ Trio, Kevin MacKenzie Quartet, Rosetta Trio with Jen Chapin, Jocob Karlzon Quintet featuring Jimmy Greene and Ryan Quigley, and more...

Details will be on the website on Monday and brochures will be in the post by the end of next week. Weekender tickets for £50 are on sale from tomorrow. Individual tickets will be on sale from 0131 467 5200 on Monday and from Wednesday from the Craft Shop in Bowmore.
