Calmac sent out the following information this afternoon: "Due to the ongoing current pier works at Kennacraig we are not in a position to be able to berth both the Hebridean Isles and the Isle of Arran at Kennacraig over the Festive periods."

As a result of this we will require to reposition one of the vessels to Islay, and therefore the following additional sailings will operate over and above the normal timetable for Christmas and New Year, weather permitting:

• Friday 24 December 1800 depart Kennacraig to Port Ellen
• Monday 27 December 0700 depart Port Askaig to Kennacraig
• Friday 31 December 1800 depart Kennacraig to Port Ellen
• Sunday 2 January 1600 depart Port Ellen to Kennacraig
