What's a better way to start the new Islay blogging year with a video and pictures of Fireworks at Port Charlotte and Bowmore? The video below was uploaded by Alistair Campbell. According to Alistair the fireworks and bonfire were a little late as the fire brigade had problems lighting the wet wood but as you can see everything turned out to go rather well. The Islay Natural History Trust Blog uploaded some pictures of the New Year celebrations and Philip Gray has some very nice pictures of the Bowmore fireworks on his Facebook page.
