Happy Islay Easter
Mark Unsworth of Islay Studios sent me a couple of pictures of a lovely Easter Sunday on Islay and wrote some lines too: "Visitors (and residents) were spoilt for choice over what to do during Easter weekend. With some nice sunny and bright weather conditions they could choose from the fundraising activities of the Ideas Group or there was the start of the Walking Festival which was very well patronised on both Saturday and Sunday with sun bloc essential! Also Islay Ales held it's 5th Anniversary celebrations in Islay House Square. Marquees were erected, a bar created in one of them with tradtional pub games, in another marquee Paul Graham owner of An Taigh Osda was giving out free samples of pork or venison casserole from his restaurant. There were brewery tours on offer supplemented by all the other traders open for business in the Square."
