The Harbour Inn in Bowmore is one of the finest restaurants on Islay run by Neil and Carol Scott. The national tourism agency says: 'The gold stars reflect an exceptional standard of hospitality, service and cuisine, well above expectations for the grading of your establishment. The awards also recognise a commitment to staff training and development.' Neil and Carol told the Ileach: 'It’s great to be one of the first to receive this prestigious award - and is an excellent recognition for our hardworking team'.
