Frost on Road and Salt Marsh Loch Gruinart
A friend on Islay sent me a picture which is very special. He told me that last night was one of the coldest nights of this winter so far. If you take a good look at the picture you see the salt marsh at Loch Gruinart. The white on the road and the salt marsh is not snow but a layer of frozen sea water that was left when the tide went out this morning. Unbelievable isn't it? I'm pretty sure not many people have ever witnessed something like this on Islay. It also says a lot about the winter, which is quite cold compared to other years.
