Despite the fact that spring has arrived the weather, or should I say winter, showed its teeth last week. Some areas of Scotland saw a lot of snow, specially in the Scottish Highlands, where they had 25cm of snow in some parts. A bizarre end of the winter season.

Also Islay received some horrible weather with sleet, wet snow and gale force winds ripping down powerlines in some places. A friend from Islay who sent me the image below said: "It has been back to winter this week. Tuesday was one of the worse days I have ever seen, heavy sleet and rain and wet snow and strong ne wind with floods." The result of all that was again snow on the hills as you can see on the beautiful picture below. Let's hope it will be for the last time this season. For now I would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter with lots of warm spring sunshine!
