Always when I'm on Islay I take a picture of my favourite tree which you can find at Torrabus, on the Bunnahabhain Road. Of course I did the same this year. A good friend on Islay sent me a picture of my favourite tree after the gales in the last week of May and it was quite a shock to me. It's really sad to see that all the leaves are brown already, so much for autumn colours. Let's hope this tree, and many others on Islay, find a way to recover from this catastrophy!
