I usually post pictures on the Islay pictures blog or in the pictures gallery but today I have a couple of images from Bowmore sent to me by a friend to post on this blog. These images were taken early December on a very calm Sunday.

Reflections in Bowmore Harbour

Barges from the Sewage works project in Bowmore. The waste water treatment project is an important project for Islay's environment. Untreated waste water is now discharged into Loch Indaal and this situation will end as soon as the works are finished. The project is expected to be ready before the end of this year, much to the relief of some of the wildlife in the area.
