Sue Visser, a member of the Islay List, sent me a beautiful song, "S ann an Ile", and lyrics by email yesterday. We decided that it would be a good idea to post it on the blog. "S ann an Ile" is a traditional Gaelic children's song. It is arranged and sung by Christina Stewart, a performer and teacher of traditional Scottish songs. The song is included in Christina Stewart's CD, 'Bairn's Kist', a collection of traditional Scottish songs designed to encourage adults to sing, play and connect with young children. Christina, a native of Inverness, studied traditional song as part of her university degree. She now works with all age groups, teaching and performing traditional songs. I have tested the song in the player on my blog and found out that the quality wasn't great in the Internet Explorer Browser, in Firefox it's fine.
